The summer edition of Rome's biannual jazz festival takes place this July (2018), from the 1st of July right up to the 5th of August. Now in its 42nd edition, the main venues that are hosting 'Roma Jazz Festival 2018: Jazz Is Now' are the Auditorium Parco della Musica, Museo Maxxi, Parterre Farnesina and Casa del Jazz. Rome has always been an attraction for jazz artists and past headliners have included musical icons like B.B. King, Miles Davis and Ray Charles. This year's shows include artists from around the globe, such as Snarky Puppy (7th July), Tony Allen (13th July), Chick Corea (14th July), Stefano Bollani (16th July) Dee Dee Bridgewater (24th July) and many more. This year's program, which is curated by the artistic director Mario Ciampà, crosses an arc of at least three generations, defining the path that has been taken up to now and also analysing the proposals that will contribute to creating the jazz sound of the future.
