Rome's annual jazz festival takes place this November (2017) from the 5th to the 30th. Now in its 41st edition, the main venues that are hosting 'Roma Jazz Festival 2017: Jazz Is My Religion' are the Auditorium Parco della Musica and Casa del Jazz. But concerts are also taking place all over the Eternal City, including the Pantheon, Chiesa di San Nicola da Tolentino, Live Alcazar, Il Pitigliani and Sagrestia del Borromini. Rome has always been an attraction for jazz artists and past headliners have included musical icons like B.B. King, Miles Davis and Ray Charles. This year's festival also celebrates some incredible milestones in the history of jazz, such as the 100th anniversary of the release of first jazz album, as well as the 100th anniversary of the birth of two of the world's most influential jazz artists; Ella Fitzgerald (April 1917) and Dizzy Gillespie (October 1917).
